Chattanooga Killings

Vote Today. Ballot creation date: 07/12/2015

Facts

Fact: Today, a lone gunman fired an automatic weapon into two US Armed Services recruiting facilities in public areas of Chattanooga, Tennessee killing five members of the US Armed Services. Fact: The members of the US Armed Services who were killed were not allowed by the President any arms to defend themselves, and were thusly completely unarmed. Fact: Members of a Tennessee militia, allowed by the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution, came in and set up guard with semi-automatic weapons in case there were any follow-up shootings attempted. Fact: The military recruiting stations had required government signs on the windows stating that no firearms were allowed in the facilities, thereby advertising that it was a gun-free zone to all who passed by. Fact: The US was at war with Islamic terrorists, and there were Islamic terrorists known to be in the United States at the time of the tragedy.

Analysis and Conclusion relative to theft:

There is little of substance to add to the conclusions in the Fort Hood - Beirut MOT Ballot of 4/2/2014 in the category of RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (Below). This Ballot has a current (7/16/2015) voting average within the Insanity Range (10-15) of 12.4222. It appears that serious effort should be given to psychiatric profiling of any decision makers who decide against rationally accepted rules of engagement for citizens of free countries.

2 April, 2014 Fort Hood shooting: People inside were not allowed to possess firearms. Protective gate sentries were allowed to possess readily useable firearms. 3 were killed inside by one armed person.

5 Nov, 2009 Fort Hood shooting: People inside were not allowed to possess firearms. Protective gate sentries were allowed to possess readily useable firearms. 13 were killed inside by one armed person.

23 Oct, 1983 Beirut barracks bombing: People inside were allowed to possess firearms. Protective gate sentries were not allowed to possess readily useable  firearms. 241 Marines were killed by one person driving a truck bomb.  From Wikipedia, “The sentries at the gate [of the Marine Barracks] were operating under rules of engagement, which made it very difficult to respond quickly to the truck. Sentries were ordered to keep their weapons at condition four (no magazine inserted and no rounds in the chamber). Only one sentry, LCpl Eddie DiFranco, was able to load and chamber a round. However, by that time the truck was already crashing into the building's entryway.”

Those in the profession of armed response, or in training for that profession, were not allowed to possess readily useable arms. Persons of mental derangement or purposes of murder for religious reasons generally target unarmed or innocent people who are without means of armed protection. Those responsible for establishing the rules, policies, and politics that prohibit armed protection against armed aggression in environments in need of protection in these cases were part of the US Government and helped steal the lives from the victims by disallowing them the opportunity to defend themselves and others in a dangerous environment. This MOT Ballot weighs the theft of protection of US Citizens in the service of the US by Presidents Carter and Obama while using engagement rules that allowed and enabled these murders.
